What is Carson Cares?

Carson Cares is a non-profit organization that Carson Bold started at the age of 6. Carson met children of SafeHaven in 2006, at six years old, when his mom worked  there. He volunteered at Camp Heart and really enjoyed it. Carson’s first lemonade stand ever was just for fun in Summer 2007 and profited $22. At  that time, Carson said, “I want to give the money to SafeHaven”. Carson Cares, the organization, was started in  Fall 2007 because Carson wanted to share the experience of giving back with his friends. Carson continued to involve friends in the fundraising process and in other events focused on giving back to the community. Then, in 2008, the lemonade stand raised approximately $227.  In Fall of 2008, a website was developed to help Carson let others know about helping people in need. The 2009 Lemonade Stand Yard Sale brought around $800. All the funds were used to send kids to Camp Heart at SafeHaven. The 2010 Lemonaid Stand Yard Sale raised over $900. Funds were used to send SafeHaven kids, who live in a crisis,  to fun activities during the Summer and to provide monthly activities and stockings for needy children during the holidays. Carson Cares has offered many opportunities for people to give back since. We host several events throughout the year that are open to anyone who wants to help. We help places like Mission Arlington, Operation Christmas Child, Women’s Center, Arlington Pregnancy Center, Alliance For Children, and SafeHaven as well as any other opportunity that comes our way. The LemonAID Stand has grown since then and has raised around $1500 each year since. Carson Cares has sent the children to Six Flags, the movies, bowling, Steel City Pops, Chic-fil-a and many more places that more fortunate people might take for granted.

What is INSPIRE?

However, Carson Cares will need to run with more efficiency over the next five years while Carson is away at college. To continue our mission for the next five years, Carson Cares needs to raise the funds now so that we can fund the events that we hold to benefit the community. We are planning to raise $30,000 to support our works for the next five years. ALL of this money will go toward giving back to the community and helping teach kids how to help those in need.
